When Stephanie and Elisha booked their Temple Emanuel Closter NJ wedding, they knew they were making the right choice. This stunning temple is located in Bergen County, New Jersey, under the guidance of Les Friedman. His personalized service makes every soon-to-be-married couple feel like family.
The prestigious Sanctuary is one of the most beautiful in the state, with a magnificent antique stained-glass dome that looks gorgeous overhead during ceremonies. For cocktail hour, couples can enjoy marvelous hors d’oeuvres from Northern Valley Affairs in the temple’s courtyard. Even in chilly weather, guests can stay warm on the patio under the cozy heat lamps.
The Temple’s Grand Ballroom is the perfect place for a festive reception. The space can accommodate over 300 guests and features a large dance floor, canopied ceilings, and stunning chandeliers. Couples may also choose to have an outdoor reception beneath a beautiful white tent on the Temple grounds, just like Stephanie and Elisha did.
We were thrilled when Stephanie and Elisha asked us to be their wedding photographers. We knew that this would be a day to remember, and we couldn’t wait to capture all of the special moments.
If you’re interested in Temple Emanu-El of Closter for your wedding day, we invite you to view some of our favorite moments from Stephanie and Elisha’s big day to see what this beautiful venue has to offer.
Getting Ready for the Big Day
Stephanie began the day by getting ready with her bridal party at the temple. Everyone wore blush-colored robes except our lovely bride, who donned a beautiful white robe with delicate lace, light blue accents, and “the Mrs.” embroidered on the back.
After finishing up their hair and makeup, it was time for Stephanie to put on her wedding dress. She chose a beautiful A-line wedding dress with a sweetheart neckline, fitted bodice, and long skirt that flowed behind her. The lace detailing of the dress was designed to look like falling leaves, making our bride look like a true autumn princess.
Stephanie was absolutely glowing as her mother helped her add the finishing touches to her bridal look.
Before meeting Elisha for their first look, Stephanie met her father in the atrium. He was waiting to see her for the first time in her wedding dress. The joy and pride on his face were truly a sight to behold.
Stephanie and Elisha’s First Look
Stephanie and Elisha met in a quiet area just outside the temple for their first look. As soon as Elisha saw his bride, the most genuine smile spread across his face. After admiring each other in their wedding attire, we took some beautiful photos of the happy couple.
Wedding Party Photos
The couple’s wedding party joined them for some fun photos around the Temple grounds. The bridesmaids each wore unique dresses in varying shades of lilac, while the groomsmen donned classic tuxedos. We photographed the group against a lush green forest backdrop and again in front of the temple’s stunning stone walls.
Stephanie and Elisha’s Ceremony
Before the ceremony began, our bride and groom separated in order to celebrate and receive blessings from their family and friends. Elisha then came to greet his bride as both parties converged before making their way to the Sanctuary.
Then, the moment everyone had been eagerly waiting for finally arrived – it was time for Stephanie and Elisha to get married! The Sanctuary was absolutely breathtaking with its spectacular stained-glass dome and the magnificent chuppah decorated in abundant greenery and colorful roses.
Stephanie made her way down the aisle, escorted by her mother and father. Elisha met them halfway, hugging each of his in-laws, before taking Stephanie’s hand and leading her the rest of the way. The look of pure love and excitement on their faces as they gazed at each other was a moment they’ll never forget.
Their traditional Jewish ceremony included the Seven Blessings along with the breaking of the glass. Stephanie and Elisha’s family and friends cheered as they were officially pronounced husband and wife!
After the ceremony, the newlyweds posed for some beautiful photos beneath the chuppa before making their way to the reception.
An Outdoor Reception at the Temple Emanu-El of Closter
Their reception was held under a massive white tent on the Temple grounds. Soft white drapery, romantic chandeliers, and an abundance of beautiful florals decorated the space.
The festivities began the moment Stephanie and Elisha made their grand entrance into the reception. A room of cheering family and friends greeted them, and everyone immediately began to dance and celebrate. Before we knew it, the newlyweds were hoisted up on chairs and paraded around the dance floor!
Dancing, laughter, and love filled the rest of the evening! Stephanie and Elisha even snuck away for a few moments, making sure to cut their cake before the night’s end.
All in all, the entire day was a beautiful celebration of love for a very special couple. Stephanie and Elisha’s joyous Temple Emanuel Closter NJ wedding was truly an unforgettable event. Mazel Tov to the happy couple!
