History of Natirar
The Mansion at Natirar was originally built in 1905 by Massachusetts heiress Kate Macy Ladd and her husband Walter Graeme. They named the 1000-acre estate Natirar, which is actually an anagram of Raritan (the river which winds for over a mile through the grounds).
Honoring her Quaker upbringing, Kate spent her days at Natirar helping those in need. She opened The Maple Cottage at Natirar where women could go to recover from illnesses.
In 1983, the King of Morocco purchased Natirar, which by then was 500-acres. However, he rarely visited. It was eventually sold to Somerset County in 2003.
Today, the estate is leased in a public-private partnership which has resulted in a luxury resort fit for royalty!

Natirar also has a more intimate setting for smaller weddings called Ninety Acres. Here, couples can have a gorgeous ceremony in the garden of the original carriage house. Ninety Acres can accommodate anywhere from a handful to up to 120 guests. The venue has indoor and outdoor dining spaces that can be customized to your exact needs.
