We can’t say it enough… We love capturing the pure joy of a couple on their wedding day! It’s such an incredible feeling knowing that we were there for them, taking photos and documenting these monumental moments in their lives. It never gets old. Every time we photograph a wedding, we feel like it could be our first time because each one is different and every couple has their own unique story. This certainly holds true for Sasha and Logan’s gorgeous wedding at Pendry Natirar!
As leading photographers in the tri-state area, we’ve been lucky enough to photograph many wonderful brides and grooms. But Sasha and Logan were truly one of our favorite couples! When they first reached out to us, they told us that they met on Tinder.
“I’m not sure how we even matched,” Sasha said. “I was living in NYC and he was in Hillsborough, NJ, 50 miles apart. He ‘super liked’ me, which, if you’re not familiar, back in 2016 you were given one ‘super like’ every 24 hours that you could use on one person to be automatically bumped to the top of their matches. It worked! Six months later we moved in together and the rest is history!”
Planning Their Pendry Natirar Wedding
The two got engaged in January of 2020 and immediately started looking at wedding venues in New Jersey. After visiting a few, they immediately fell in love with Pendry Natirar.
We can easily see why. What’s not to love about this luxury wedding venue? Pendry Natirar wedding is a dream come true for any bride. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the mansion itself is the definition of elegance.
Just two weeks before the world went into quarantine for Covid-19, they secured their wedding date of October 9th, 2021. As the weeks progressed and there was more uncertainty going on in the world, the two paused their wedding planning for a little while.
“We were very lucky because my parents own a jewelry store in Bernardsville which is also very close to The Mansion at Natirar,” Sasha said. “My vendors were our neighbors that we have worked with on many other projects for years! We were so lucky to be surrounded by the best of the best for hair, makeup, invitations, and florals.”
The next vendor Sasha and Logan found was Sharrone from Fiore Films. They had seen her wedding videos and had instantly fallen in love with her unique moody style.
“We were having a little bit of trouble finding a photographer,” Sasha said. “Everything we were seeing was bright, pastel looking and blown out images. That just didn’t feel like us. I asked Sharrone for some recommendations that complimented her style and when she shared Julian’s page, we knew we had found our photographer and the last missing piece to our puzzle.”
Sasha has worked doing corporate events for a luxury company for many years and had knowledge of planning events. “We also truly felt so taken care of and had such trust with all of our vendors that planning was fun!” she said.
Saying “YES” to the Dress!
Before she even stepped foot into a bridal boutique, Sasha spent a lot of time taking screenshots of wedding dress styles that she liked on Instagram. However, when she finally started shopping for one in person, finding the perfect dress was a challenge.
“I went to so many boutiques and everything was sequined and bedazzled and very ‘princess-y’, she said. “I was looking for something classic with a more modern feel.”
Pressed for time, she was about to say yes to a dress that she wasn’t 100% happy with. She decided to take one last look through her saved screenshots. The dress that kept catching her eye came up and after visiting their website she was disappointed to learn they only had one boutique and it was in Los Angeles.
“I clicked on ‘Trunk Shows’ and was led to their upcoming calendar. As luck would have it, starting the following morning they were doing a two-week Trunk Show at The One boutique in Brooklyn. I called and begged for an appointment even though they were completely booked. When I finally went to try the dress on it was love at first sight!”
Sasha loved the pleats on her dress, which were actually inspired by one of her favorite designers, Issey Miyake. She also loved the asymmetrical details and the movement in the fabric. It was ethereal and romantic and different than any dress she had seen before. Because of the asymmetrical details, she ended up cutting the dress after the ceremony as opposed to bustling it.
“I could not have imagined a more perfect dress for my wedding,” she told us.
Wedding Day Style
Sasha’s wedding style was inspired by her love of all things timeless with a modern touch. The couple’s wedding colors were very classic – black and white with a hint of greenery.
“We wanted to look back on our wedding 20, 30, or 40 years later and still feel like we could replicate that same setting and it would still be just as relevant,” she said.
Sasha choose all-white flower arrangements for the ceremony’s backdrop, which looked fresh and simply gorgeous!
As you can see in these photos, Sasha looked absolutely radiant in her dress as she walked down the aisle towards Logan (who looked so handsome)! The two exchanged vows in a beautiful outdoor ceremony before they were whisked away by their friends and family to celebrate their union with dinner, drinks, and dancing.
Sasha and Logan, we’re so happy to congratulate you on your big day! We’re honored that you chose us to capture your memories. We hope that you love looking at your photos for years to come!
Are you planning a wedding?
The best way to find the perfect wedding photographer is to research their work and see what style they are going for. Asking for referrals from friends, family members, or your other wedding vendors is also a good idea since they’ve probably seen the photographer’s work firsthand. Once you’ve narrowed down your choice, go with someone that has an artistic eye because this will really show in the pictures!
