The Best After-Party Scene
Brooklyn has some of the best clubs and bars in NYC. The area boasts an incredible nightlife experience for guests looking to keep the party going after your wedding.
Spaces For Every Type Of Wedding
Brooklyn venues include converted banks, warehouses on the water with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the harbor, historic hotels, and botanical gardens for that picturesque urban oasis.
What Makes Brooklyn Wedding Venues So Popular?
Every venue has character and signature charms that make them feel so authentically Brooklyn. In a borough that is creatively charged and full of life, Brooklyn wedding venues are as diverse and eclectic as Brooklynites themselves. While they’re not in Manhattan, these venues aren’t lacking any of the New York City luxuries.
What Are The Best Brooklyn Wedding Venues?
Our photography style leans more towards the dramatic, and we couldn’t ask for a better backdrop than Brooklyn. To help you find the perfect venue, here are our favorite Brooklyn wedding venues for the 2022 wedding season in no particular order.
Dyker Beach Golf Course
This historic Brooklyn country club is the perfect wedding venue for any bride who is looking for a more traditional and formal aesthetic. The gorgeous green lawns, the classic white gazebo, and the views of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge make this a truly picturesque venue.
Dyker Beach Golf Course offers Manhattan-style catering. For example, it features two large banquet rooms with a pavilion that’s 5000 square feet. This is just perfect for a 100-guest outdoor wedding. The Grand Ballroom is open and airy, with sweeping views of the grounds and elegant coffered ceilings.
501 Union
501 Union is a modern yet classic venue that has been hosting weddings for decades. It was once a classic car restoration shop. Now, the old-time architecture and sleek style are the perfect canvas that can be transformed to fit your desired aesthetic. The venue has many stylish rooms that feature eye-catching decor and an inviting atmosphere.
The Lounge is an ideal spot for your friends and loved ones to mix and mingle throughout the night. The lush greenery within the Covered Atrium makes it the most beautiful place to say “I do.” If you’re in love with the trendy industrial-chic design, the Reception Hall delivers with moody lighting and an expansive skylight so you can dine under the stars.
The Liberty Warehouse
The Liberty Warehouse is an industrial-chic dream. This is located on the waterfront in Brooklyn’s Red Hook shipping yards. The venue is located right at the water’s edge with impressive views of the New York Harbor. Whether you’re on the terrace, the 2nd-floor patio, or cozied up by one of the fireplaces inside the venue, you’ll have the chance to watch as the sun sets over the harbor.
The Governors room features high ceilings, wood-burning fireplaces, and an entire wall of windows facing the water. The 2nd floor opens up to the patio, where the views of the harbor only get better.
The Harbor Room features exposed brick, original wood beams, four wood-burning fireplaces, and an entire wall of windows with breathtaking views of the waterfront.
Ceremonies are amazing indoors or outside on the terrace. We love the glamorous panoramic view of the New York Harbor. This venue is truly unique as it’s the only location in the city where you can see a front-facing Lady Liberty, her gaze set on France.
The Green Building
The Green Building is a rustic-chic rooftop wedding venue. For example, the space features beautifully white-washed exposed brick walls, gleaming chandeliers, and high ceilings with exposed wood beams. This location has an undeniable warmth and timeless elegance that truly captures Brooklyn’s old-time architecture.
An indoor/outdoor wedding celebration is possible with the floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open out onto the beautiful back patio. Your guests can enjoy cocktails under the stars, surrounded by the urban cityscape.
Weylin
The historic Weylin is an architectural masterpiece. It’s often considered one of the city’s premier venues. The Williamsburgh Savings Bank was built during the 70s and restored inch-by-inch to its former glory. Its 3-year, 24-million-dollar preservation won several prestigious preservation awards.
The very picture of luxury, the Weylin’s architecture and decor is awe-inspiring down to the most minor details. The domed ceilings are intricately designed. Moreover, the imported marble tiles throughout the Oculus Dome and Main Rotunda add to the splendor of this venue.
Even with all of its marvelous details and impressive architecture, this venue is still an elegant blank canvas. It can be completely transformed into the most luxurious wedding of any bride’s dreams.
Brooklyn Botanic Garden
Located in Prospect Park, this beautiful urban oasis is among the most beautiful spaces in all of New York. We love its acres of lush gardens, trees, and stunning water features.
There are multiple event spaces to choose from, each as swoon-worthy as the last. The popular Palm House is an all-glass Victorian-style conservatory. It’s surrounded by beautiful trees and overlooks the Lily Pool.
Another option is the Atrium. This has a breathtaking living roof made of wildflowers and native grasses. The floor-to-ceiling glass walls frame views of the spectacular Cherry Esplanade which are a must-see in late April.
The photo opportunities at Brooklyn Botanic Garden are like something out of a fairytale, especially when all the trees and flowers are in bloom.
Wythe Hotel
The Wythe Hotel is located on the trendy Williamsburg Waterfront. This old 1900s factory-turned-boutique hotel is another excellent venue for a modern bride. The original brick walls and vaulted ceilings are paired with rustic industrial details and edgy artwork, creating a classic and quirky space.
The urban Garden Terrace is absolutely enchanting. You can’t help but be in awe of the twinkling string lights and ivy crawling up the original brick walls. The Main Hall’s mix of sleek modern additions and vintage fittings are both elegant and bold. You can celebrate your love with your guests on the private terrace overlooking the waterfront.
