The Breakers Palm Beach Wedding Guide For Brides-To-Be

Breathtaking water views. Luxurious amenities. Unparalleled service. It’s no wonder so many brides-to-be daydream about having a Breakers Palm Beach wedding. If you’re one of these brides, keep reading. The Breakers Palm Beach wedding guide below features what to know about planning an incredible event at one of the most famous and exclusive resort hotels in the country!

A Posh Paradise by the Sea

The Breakers, perhaps more than any other resort in Florida, is the quintessential symbol of Palm Beach. It’s the oldest resort on the state’s “Gold Coast”. The 140-acre property, which opened in 1896, first served as a seasonal residence for wealthy Northerners from New York and Boston.

The original hotel was built by Henry Flagler, a businessman who financed the extension of the Florida East Coast Railway to Key West. His goal was to provide access to the area and help develop it as a tourist destination. His vision came to life as the railway brought visitors and Palm Beach became known as the “Playground of America.”

For more than a century, The Breakers has also been a playground for the rich and famous. Three U.S. presidents and celebrities including Frank Sinatra and Bob Dylan have been among its guests.

Today, The Breakers is a AAA Five Diamond luxury resort that draws visitors and couples planning destination weddings from around the world. In fact, it was the location of Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello’s unforgettable 2015 wedding!

The resort sits in a very convenient location for out-of-town couples and their guests. The city of Palm Beach is built around The Breakers, so it’s close to the Palm Beach Airport and just minutes away from Worth Avenue for high-end dining and shopping.

But you don’t even have to venture off the resort for all the amenities you crave. The expansive grounds of The Breakers include a half-mile of private beach along the Atlantic Ocean, 2 championship golf courses, and 4 heated oceanfront pools. In addition to these features, The Breakers also has 9 restaurants and a spa.

If you’re looking for gorgeous ocean views with jaw-dropping sunsets, superb food, and a top-notch staff to help you plan your wedding, The Breakers is the place for you.

The Breakers Palm Beach Wedding Venue

The 5-star luxury resort offers a variety of different ballrooms and outdoor spaces for the most picture-perfect wedding you can ever imagine! Here are just a few of our favorite spaces:

The Ocean Lawn

Hands down, The Ocean Lawn is one of the most exclusive event spaces in South Florida. It’s truly a tropical oasis with white sand, gorgeous landscaping, and swaying palms. It overlooks the Atlantic Ocean, which means you’ll get stunning water views (and wedding photos) at every turn – including during your ceremony, cocktail hour, or outdoor reception! The Ocean Lawn can accommodate 100 to 500 guests.

The Circle Ballroom

“The Circle,” as it’s called, absolutely exudes grandeur. During the hotel’s construction, 75 artists were actually brought from Italy to create the Italian architecture you see today! With 15-foot windows that provide a view of the ocean, this ballroom offers a stunning setting for wedding receptions and wedding photos. Its 30-foot ceiling features eight oval murals that depict Renaissance landscapes, while its center is adorned with a Venetian crystal chandelier. The room can accommodate up to 200 guests.

The Venetian Ballroom

The 9,600-square-foot Venetian Ballroom has a formal Mediterranean feel and features floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the sea. It also has a soaring 25-foot high ceiling adorned with magnificent chandeliers. The room’s custom woodwork and fabrics are a gorgeous, rich golden color. This space accommodates up to 550 guests.

Gold Room

The Gold Room, named for its beautiful gold ceiling, is a replica of the Galleria Academia in Venice. Its decorative ceiling features 260 hand-carved cherubs. Detailed niches containing portraits of Renaissance rulers and explorers surround this impressive space. The fireplace and overmantel also add to the grandeur of the room. It can accommodate up to 250 guests for a ceremony and 85 guests for dinner. There’s also a dance floor and room for a band.

The Beach Club

The secluded Beach Club restaurant offers top-tier dining and a sunset view that simply can’t be beat. It’s set up perfectly for smaller wedding receptions, as it has indoor and outdoor dining options that guests will surely enjoy.
